How to Convert DVD, Video and Audio

With iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe, you can easily convert DVDs, video and audio to an optimum format for your computer and mobile devices.

1.Import Video, Audio or DVD Files

Double click the program icon to start iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac. There are 3 tabs on top: Convert, Burn and Download. In Convert tab, you can convert DVDs, video and audio to nearly any format.

Use the following methods to import files to the program:

• Drag video, audio or DVD files to the program window. If a folder is added, all the files contained in the folder will be added to the program.
• Browse or search videos or DVDs in Media Browser which will show up by clicking the button at the top right corner, and drag it to the program.

A list of imported files appears in the primary window, as shown below.

Note: By default, it only reads main features of the DVD movie for conversion, without DVD menu and the movie just starts playing right away. To import the whole DVD, go to “Preference > Convert” to change the settings.

2.Select Your Output Format

More than 70 output formats are supported. You can even create your own presets. To choose an output format, simply click the format icon from the list. All formats are grouped into 6 categories. Find your desired output format by going to the right category.

By choosing an audio format, you extract only the audio track from the video, or convert audio files from one format to another.

3.Start conversion on Mac

You can change the output folder by Output option at bottom. Otherwise, the default folder will be used. After the settings are completed, simply click the “Convert” button and the program will complete that tasks soon. You’ll see the status changed right on the item bar. When done, you’ll receive a prompt message and choose whether to open the output folder.

If the output format is iPhone, iPod, iPad or Apple TV, the converted files will be added to your iTunes library automatically by default. Therefore, you can open iTunes and sync to device quickly. To cancel this setting, go to Preferences > General.

How to Edit and Personalize Your Video

iSkysoft iMedia Converter deluxe Mac provides you with all regular video editing tools so you can enhance your video before conversion.

1.Open Video Editing Window

Click the Edit pen icon of the video item bar and a video editing window will show up as below. Thus you can rotate, trim, crop your video and add effects, watermark and subtitle with ease. You can also directly go the specific tab by the Edit menu on top.

2.Personalize Your Video in Clicks

Video Trimming: Go to Edit > Trimming to open the Trimming tools. There will be 4 tools to help you trim unwanted parts of the video: Add Trim Marker, Reset Trim Marker, Cancel and Conform Trimming. To get started, move the play slider to the position you want, and click the Add Trim Marker button to show markers so you’re able to adjust the segment length. Repeat this process to trim another part. Click the Confirm button to finish. All segments will be joined together.

Video Cropping: In the Adjust tab of the video editing window, click the Crop button to activate Cropping tool. You’ll see cropping handle in the preview window. Adjust those handles to adjust the size of the crop area. Click Done to crop video. The Aspect Ratio option is helpful to crop video in specified aspect ration.

Video Rotating: There are also 4 rotating buttons in the Adjust tab. Click each to rotate or flip video conveniently. Adding Effects: Go to Effect tab to choose from 14 effects to personalize your video. Simply click an effect to apply. You’re able to apply an effect to all imported videos by clicking the Apply to All button at bottom.

Watermark and Subtitle: It’s easy to add watermark or subtitle in the Watermark tab or Subtitle tab, respectively. In the Watermark tab, choose from Image or Text watermark, and make settings as you want. In the Subtitle tab, you can load an external subtitle file (.ssa, .ass, .srt) to burn to video. If you don’t have a subtitle file yet, go to opensubtitles.org to search and download one for free.

Capture Screenshot: You are able to capture a screenshot while preview a video and save to JPG image by clicking the Snapshot button at the bottom left corner.

How to Burn and Copy DVD

In the Burn tab, you’re able to burn a DVD disc either from video, audio, or content on commercial or homemade DVDs, DVD movies, or DVD files (VIDEO_TS, ISO, dvdmedia). It provides an easy way to DVD movies on TV or portable DVD players.

1.Choose Burn DVD or Copy DVD Mode

There are 2 modes to burn DVDs. The Burn DVD mode allows you to make DVD movies from video and audio files, which Copy DVD mode lets you easily make DVD copies in a few clicks. Simply click Task dropdown list and select what you want.

2.Import Video, Audio, DVD, or DVD Files

Do one of the following to import media files to burn to DVD disc:

• Drag video, audio, VIDEO_TS folder, DVD disc icon, ISO, or dvdmedia to the iMedia Converter Deluxe window.
• Browse or search DVD disc or DVD files in Media Browser and drag them to the program.

A list of imported files appears in the window, as shown below.

3.Burn to DVD Disc

Give a name to your DVD disc and simply click the “Burn” or Copy button and the program will start burning your DVD disc. When finished, the DVD will be ejected and you can play DVD on any home DVD player.

You can also make DVD Folder, .dvdmedia or ISO file by choose options from the “Burn to” dropdown list.

How to Download Web Videos

Easily download and convert web videos from popular video sites for playback on Mac or any popular devices you like.

1.Open Media Browser

Go to Download tab on top and open Media Browser by clicking the button at the top right corner. You have 2 ways to download video from all popular video sites like YouTube right from the built-in browser.

Download online video by clicking the Download button. You’ll be asked to install the download extension at the first time run. Search and play the video you want to download, and drag and drop the URL to the Download tab in the Media Browser.

2.Convert or Burn Downloaded Files

The downloaded online video will remain in the Download tab unless you delete it. Next, you can either convert the downloaded files to another format or burn to DVD disc in Convert or Burn tab, respectively.
